Burger Bowls

Burger bowls aren’t just a way to cut down on carbs while getting your protein. It’s a delicious dish that’s perfect for sharing at events or summer family dinners. Think of a burger bowl like healthier nachos. You get all the elements of a great burger in one meal. 

 

Cooking Method

  1. Preheat the grill to 200°C. 
  2. Place burgers on direct heat and grill for approximately 2 minutes then flip. 
  3. Top each burger with burger cheese and cook for a further two minutes ensuring the internal temperature is 60 °C. Then remove from heat. 
  4. Thinly slice iceberg lettuce and place a healthy serving in each of 4 bowls. 
  5. Thinly slice red onions and add to lettuce. 
  6. Cut tomatoes into wedges for each bowl. 
  7. Chop burgers into pieces and scatter around the salad bowl. 
  8. Top with gherkins and burger sauce and enjoy.

  • 4 burger cheese slices 
  • 1 iceberg lettuce 
  • 1 red onion 
  • 4 tomatoes 
  • Sliced gherkins 
  • Burger sauce
